Phillips Respironics

Respironics was founded in 1976 near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and they introduced their first CPAP machine in 1985. In 2008, Respironics was acquired by Philips, a world leader in health and home care technology. The company portfolio includes advanced technology and integrated solutions that support healthy living, prevention, diagnosis, home care and treatment. Its focus is innovation in sleep apnea management, oxygen therapy, non-invasive ventilation, and respiratory drug delivery based on the needs of its customers.

The Philips company has its headquarters in the Netherlands and has approximately 74,000 employees in 100 countries. In 2017, the company’s health technology division generated EUR 17.8 billion in sales.
